The Bent County Food Endeavor (BCFE) is a voluntary organization engaged in the exclusive primary effort to feed in an emergency food crisis. BCFE serves those families and individuals that are unable to purchase food -- regardless of income.
During 2007, BCFE served 590 food boxes and 566 vouchers to 2,754 individuals in Bent County. Over 98% of our clients qualified for our program during 2007.
Volunteers gave 1,944 hours of service, accumulating 5,844 miles. Our total in-kind contributions totaled $1,000. During 2007, the volunteers assisted 235 individuals in need of special diet food boxes.
