The Bent County Food Endeavor (BCFE) is a voluntary organization engaged in the exclusive primary effort to feed in an emergency food crisis. BCFE serves those families and individuals that are unable to purchase food -- regardless of income.

During 2008, BCFE served 658 food boxes to 1,866 individuals, consisting of 1,147 children 17 and under and 714 adults 18 and older in Bent County. Over 98% of our clients qualified for our program during 2008.

Volunteers gave 1,840 hours of service, accumulating 2,540 miles. Our total in-kind contributions totaled $2,985.06.  During 2008, the volunteers assisted 130 individuals in need of special diet food boxes.
